I.H.S Ltd were approached to design and install a new ring main hydraulic pipework system; to be installed in a brand new Factory within the Research & Development department for a leading Formula 1 team based in the UK. The pipework required varied in size from 2” – 30mm & included all ball valves, check valves, flanges, hoses, fittings & connection manifold stand.
Our solution was to supply & install the 30mm, 38mm & 42mm pipework in Stauff Form EVO & the 50mm & 2” pipework as SAE flange welded. Our site installation team; including hydraulic engineers, pipefitter and coded welders, undertook the task of installing nearly 1Km of pipework into the new factory.
Once the pipe installation phase was complete, I.H.S Ltd were tasked with pressure testing all pipework and then flushing the system down to the tightest Servo valve cleanliness level target of 16/13/10 using our in house pressure test power unit and our hot oil flushing rig. All sections where confirmed to meet or better the required ISO cleanliness code.
I.H.S Ltd engineers worked alongside multidiscipline teams in a challenging construction site environment with the constraints of a strict deadline. Due to the planning, hard work, dedication and skills of our team we ensured our work was completed on time and on schedule.
